Dwayne Bravo and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar have the record of winning the Purple Cap twice in the history of IPL, which is the highest. Bravo achieved it in 2013 and 2015 IPL. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar did in the 2016 & 2017 IPL seasons.
Most Wickets in a Season
Dwayne Bravo and Harshal Patel have the record of taking the most wickets in the season. Bravo took 32 wickets in the 2013 IPL & Harshal took 32 wickets in the 2021 IPL.
Most Purple caps by a team
Chennai Super Kings bowlers achieved it 4 times, which is the highest by any team. Dwayne Bravo in the 2013 and 2015 seasons, Mohit Sharma in 2014, and Imran Tahir in 2019.
2022 Purple Cap Winner
This year Yuzvendra Chahal won the purple cap award. He took 27 wickets this season. He also took a hat trick this year against KKR.
