Under-19 Women’s World Cup:  Full India Squad, Shafali Verma to lead

The India U19 Women’s team has been selected by the All-India Women’s Selection Committee for the next bilateral away T20 series against South Africa U19 and the ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup that will be in January 2023.

First Edition of Under-19 Women’s World Cup

16 teams will compete in the inaugural ICC U-19 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in South Africa from January 14 to January 29, 2023. South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and Scotland make up Group D with India. In the Super Six phase, where teams are divided into two groups of six, the top three teams from each group advance.

The top two teams from each group will then advance to the semi-final matches, which will be held on January 27 at Potchefstroom’s JB Marks Oval. On January 29, the final of the U-19 Women’s World Cup will be held on the same ground.

There will be also 3 stand-by players in case any player from the squad gets an injury. The 3 stand by players are –

  2. Najla CMC
  3. Yashashree

Before the U19 Women’s World Cup, India will play a 5 T20 match series against South Africa Women U19 in South Africa. India has also announced the Squad for that. India U19 Women’s team for SA T20s:
